learning DAILY

Ezekiel 47:5, Again he measured one thousand and it was a river that I could not cross, for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.

Ezekiel was led into water where he could no longer walk on the bottom and wade through the water; he had to swim.   What does this mean for us?

This is total commitment, total surrender because the water or current will take you where it wants to.  Many around the world have had to give up family, friends, careers, their lives because of their faith in Jesus Christ.  I have known families to give everything to go on the mission field in order to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  To do so they left careers, had to raise their own financial support, and went to areas of the world to serve in conditions far less secure than what they had.  In water this deep you allow the Lord to take you where He desires to serve as He desires.

This should be the place every Christian needs to desire.  It being soaked in the presence of God, willing to be used by Him.  It might seem like a challenge, but you must remember that the One leading you loves you so much to allow you be there alone.

What’s that?  You’re not there yet?  I’m not sure many are.  But it is the desire of our Father in heaven that we keep moving in the knee deep, the waist deep water to get there.  Enjoy the journey!  Know that others are seeing your place in the water and watching – that is your testimony.

Next, I will put all this together with a story.
