Revelation 13:16-18, He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the number of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom.  Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: his number is 666.

 

666. The mark of the beast. The number of a man.  If you do not get it, you can’t buy or sell anything.  These terms are used today to signify evil; they are used in the satanic horror movies people seem to enjoy going to.  The number 666 is the number of the antichrist through out The Revelation.  Commentators believe that six is the number for humanity in Scripture; three is the number for God, by the way.  Three sixes refer to the man that would make himself god (the little g was on purpose).

 

The antichrist is going to seek control of the world’s economy.  All people must worship him and receive a mark on their right hand or forehead to identify them as a follower of the antichrist.  This again is to counterfeit the seal God puts on His followers. During the Tribulation this mark will identify those who will be permitted to work, to buy and to sell.  Those who do not take this mark will not be able to have access to the necessities of life; many will die because of it.

 

There is much written about this mark.  The more I researched it, the more I have come to wonder if it is an actual mark.  Is it the computer chip inserted under the skin?  People today have even said the covid shots have something in them that can track a person.  Perhaps the mark is an attitude of one’s heart, the decisions made to follow the antichrist rather than Jesus Christ, as some have written. 

 

I used to teach it was about a cashless society and the mark would be the foundation of buying and selling.  We are seeing the concept of cryptocurrency leading us right into that way of life.  We know the capability of a chip telling everything about us.  We also see how our cell phones give us the ability to do anything we can imagine.  We do our banking on it.  We get our news from it.  We make our purchases with it.  Its use is endless. 

 

So, what am I suggesting?  I’m suggesting that whatever the mark is, it is an allegiance to the man the Bible calls the antichrist, the beast who will demand all follow him.  If they don’t,
their economic opportunities will be taken from them.  Technology as we know it right now is capable to determine who buys and who sells.  The more I study, the more I see how close we are to the trumpet sounding for the Church of Jesus Christ to meet Him in the clouds.  The technology, the desire for world government, one-world religion, and a one-world economy is in place among the world leaders.  Each of you who read this blog have access to others you need to help prepare to meet the Lord when the trumpet sounds.  May each of our hearts be strong in the Lord so that we might stand firm against evil in the world.
