Hebrews 13:5b, For
He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”.
There is a contemporary
Christian song that states, “Christian, you were never meant to walk alone.”
That message seems to be a pretty strong sentiment for the blog lately. Maybe
it’s for you. Maybe it’s for me. I have taken the last part of a verse to
emphasize that Jesus has said to us that when he becomes our Savior and our Lord,
He is always with us. Never, never give up or give into your circumstances, the
difficulties of your life. We are never alone, never having to face anything
with out the Lord. This is a promise the Lord has made to us and it is found
throughout the Bible. Let me give you some verses to encourage you this day.
Deuteronomy 31:6,
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord
is your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:8,
“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you; He will
not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor br dismayed.”
1 Chronicles
28:20, And David said to Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do
not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God – my God – will be with you, until
you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.”
Joshua 1:5, “No
man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with
Moses, so will I be with you. I will not leave nor forsake you.”
Joshua 1:9, Have
not I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be
dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Psalm 55:22, Cast
your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the
righteous to be moved.
Psalm 94:22, For
the Lord will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.
Matthew 28:20, “teaching
them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even until the end of the age.”
Philippians
4:6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus.
Revelation 3:10, Because
you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of
trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the
earth.”
Check out for
yourself what else the Bible has to say about this promise. The Lord Jesus has
given a wonderful promise that He is always with us. No, you are not always
going to feel goosebumps or anything that will indicate He is with you; His
promise is enough for us to know that He is.
