LEARNING DAILY
Luke 2:15-16, When the angels went away from them into
heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go over to Bethlehem
and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to
us." And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby
lying in a manger.
The next few pages of the blog will be a few of the
Christmas songs that are especially meaningful to me. The song today reflects
the call to do what those who are spoken of in the Christmas story who came to
adore the Messiah, the King, the Son of God who this night appeared in the
flesh. Yes, all are still to come adore Him today.
O Come Let Us Adore Him
O come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant!
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold him
Born the King of Angels:
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
God of God,
Light of Light,
Lo, he abhors not the Virgin’s womb;
Very God,
Begotten, not created:
Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing, all ye citizens of Heaven above!
Glory to God
In the highest:
Yea, Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be glory given!
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing!
