Revelation 13:4-5, So they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying Who is like the beast?  Who is able to make war against him?”  And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 

 

Revelation 13:7-8, It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them.  And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.  All who dwell on earth will worship him, whose name is not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  (Emphasis is mine).

 

I know you are thinking I have gone off the deep end this morning.  This is what is going to happen in the Tribulation to come; a one world religion. You do not have to like it; the Bible is clear that the world – every tribe, tongue, and nation and everyone whose name is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life – will worship the Antichrist.  The dragon mentioned is the Antichrist’s false prophet who will be an imitation of Jesus Christ.  The Bible states that the entire world will be united by this world-wide worship of the beast.

 

You might be thinking that this could not happen in our world today.  Do you understand the only thing keeping this from happening right now is the Holy Spirit moving among the true Followers of Jesus Christ?  What will happen when the true Church is removed from this world? I can tell you chaos and the seven-year period known as the Tribulation.  Bill Crone in his books, The Final Countdown gives insight to what is happening right now to prepare for a world-wide religion.

 

He writes, “That’s right, I’m talking about the Interfaith Movement.  You see, put yourself in the Antichrist’s shoes.  If you’re going to deceive people into creating a One World Religion then you’ve got to get rid of any sense of one religion being superior over another and that is precisely what the Interfaith Movement has done.”  In other words, this movement would have people believe that there is more than on way to get into heaven.  If that is true, why fight each other; instead, tolerance, respect and common ground must be sought.  In conversations with some of my close brothers in Christ, something radical might need to happen in order for this to occur.  Perhaps the promotion of climate change or global warming will bring religions of the world together for the common good to save Mother Earth.  Perhaps, the war prophesied by the prophet Ezekiel will take place bringing people together.   

 

Perhaps the continual watering down of the truth will bring the different religious groups together.  Crones believes the Ecumenical Movement will help.  Crone’s writes, “Ecumenicalism is defined as ’the organized attempt to bring about the cooperation and unity of al believers’.” Sounds pretty good.  But he continues, “But what they don’t tell you, is it has come to mean all believers, meaning those outside of Christ, no matter what they believe, whether they believe in Christ or not.  And their so-called unity is being sought not on the basis of truth, but from a ‘watered down version of it’.” Anyone preaching a “watered down version of God’s Word or His Truth is preaching a lie.  You must not be in fellowship with those who are mixing the truth of God’s Word with the lies from the devil.
