Revelation 13:4-5, So they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying Who is like the beast?  Who is able to make war against him?”  And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 

 

Revelation 13:7-8, It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them.  And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.  All who dwell on earth will worship him, whose name is not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  (Emphasis is mine).

 

Let me add a few notes to the last page of the blog.  The above verses refer to events that will happen during the seven-year period of time known as the Tribulation.  The Tribulation will be a terrible time when the Antichrist will rule and God will humble the Jewish people in order to bring them to Him through repentance.  He will try to get their attention through natural plagues and disasters. 

 

During the Tribulation, people will have to choose whether to follow the Antichrist and his One World religion or commit to follow Jesus Christ and remain faithful to Him.  Those who choose Christ and remain faithful to Him will be persecuted and probably killed.  Satan is going to overcome Believers during this time – not by destroying their faith but in martyrdom.  The Antichrist will make war against the saints for forty-two months. 

 

The religion of the Antichrist will declare that he is a god and possess supernatural gifts.  The dragon of the false prophet who leads this One World Religion will direct the world to worship the Antichrist and will mislead people by working great miracles.  God allows Satan to duplicate the powers of Jesus Christ; could this be a means to deceive those living in this time? 

 

The Bible states that those “whose name is not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” will worship the Antichrist through this One World Religion.  Here is the encouragement I want you to take away from knowing about the One World Religion to come.  Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior have their names written in the Lamb’s book of life.  Jesus Christ is going to come for His people and take them to be with Him in the rapture.  Those who have not been saved will go through this terrible time of tribulation.  These are the ones who will have to decide if they will follow the antichrist or commit their lives to Jesus Christ.  But waiting will cause you to be misled by a deceiving spirit or to be martyred for following Christ.

 

As Christians we have a responsibility to tell as many as possible about salvation through Jesus Christ.  Like it or not, we are fast approaching the terrible times of a One World Religion and terrible tribulation.  We need to wake up and look at what is going on around us and be busy doing the work of the Lord.
