I asked my wife to tell me her favorite Christmas carol/song. Of course, she said all of them! Finally, she said she really enjoyed the Mary Did You know? So here it is. Please read the lyrics and enjoy the message.

That your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?

The sleeping child you’re holding is the Great, I Am.

 

Mary did you know? To answer the question, I would say yes, she did. Consider her submission to the angel as he told her God’s plan for her, that she “would conceive in her womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David” (Luke 1:31-32). She knew He was the Son of God, yet human. No doubt she raised Jesus as every good mother would do. She loved Him and no doubt her thoughts, words, and life demonstrated she knew He would do great things revealing the plan of God. She accepted the plan of God for her life as the mother of God.
